Regional network operator htp selects Telsis to continue modernisation with next-generation technology

htp, a German network operator that offers fixed and mobile telephony, broadband and data centre hosting to residential and business customers, has selected Telsis’ next-generation Ocean system to replace its legacy technology. Telsis has won the deal through its partner and system integrator Corning Services, which enjoys an existing partnership with htp.

Telsis’ Ocean Services Platform and web portal, which replace htp’s legacy technology, will modernise htp’s network by providing core network routing in a hybrid setup and value-added services for business customers, as well as ensuring compliance with regulations for the provisioning of emergency call services.

Using Telsis technology, htp will benefit from increased flexibility and an enhanced feature set of value-added voice services to provide customers with all the advantages of IP technology.

René Müller, Head of Technology (Leiter Technik-Planung und Bau) at htp said: “Telsis’ partnership with Corning Services and their established position in the German telecoms landscape convinced us to select their technology, which will be the foundation for a reliable and extremely flexible telecom application service. This new technology will enable us to deliver additional services, features and functionality to meet the demands of our existing customers and will also help us when approaching new ones.”

Peter Ritzmann, Managing Director at Telsis GmbH added: “We are proud of being selected by htp following a long selection process. Our solid reference base in the German market, our commitment and expertise in understanding specific local requirements like eCall service and the existing close partnership between htp and Corning made the difference.”

Naif Kiy, Managing Director at Corning Services said: “The close relationship we enjoy with htp enabled us to fully understand their requirements and to work alongside Telsis to replace htp’s legacy technology with a state-of-the-art next-generation service which will greatly benefit their customers.”
